The revolver gained popularity due to its introduction during the settling of the Wild West and was known by names such as Peacemaker and Frontier Six-Shooter. It was used by famous personalities such as Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickok, Pat Garret, and Bat Masterson and was a preferred choice for the settlers during the late 19th century.
